SHC is recruiting a BBO Learning Mentor

BBO STRIVE in Herts Mentor

 South Hill Centre

Fixed term contract to December 2022

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South Hill Centre’s successful team as a Mentor within the Building Better Opportunities Programme. Have you got a passion to help those furthest from the workplace? Do you have experience of working in a community based setting? Can you co-ordinate local services to help provide support for participants who face multiple barriers to employment? Are you able to work independently and in partnership? If this is you then we would like to hear from you.

Building Better Opportunities in Hertfordshire is the result of the The National Lottery Community Fund matching funds from the European Social Fund for projects across England that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion.  In Hertfordshire our partnership is delivering two projects across the county that help to address barriers into employment. All projects started in October 2016 and will now run until December 2022.

The position is being advertised as a full time post (37.5hrs per week). It may be possible to organise a job share if a suitable full time mentor is not found. Applications for part time hours are also therefore welcomed.

The BBO Project welcomes applications from all members of the community.

For an application pack please email a copy of your cv to: shc@southhillcentre.co.uk

Closing date: 5.00 pm Friday 1st April 2022
