‘Octavius, Bugler Housing and Cardo Group help give SHC a Tidy up’

SHC thanks Octavius, Bugler Housing and the Cardo Group for their recent ‘work week’ at SHC.

During August 2025 volunteers from Octavius, Bugler Housing and their supply chain partners have been giving up their time to help smarten up the grounds of South Hill Centre. They were joined by several volunteers from SHC’s weekly activities.

This work included:

• Refitting a new kitchen in the Early Years Centre (R&R UK Group and Bugler Housing)

• Installing new concrete kerb edges in the car park (Octavius)

• Re-laying a new concrete path across the car park (Octavius)

• Landscaping work - particularly smartening up the Pre-school ‘Forest Schools’ area (Bugler Housing)

• General Weeding / painting and smartening up of the outdoors areas (SHC & Octavius volunteers)

• Removal of garden waste (Cardo Group and Dacorum Borough Council Green Spaces Team)

• Smartening up our picnic benches and picnic areas (Octavius & SHC volunteers)

• Installing new entrance steps for the Pre-school ‘Forest Schools’ area (Octavius)

• Repairing the posts of the Pre-school sandpit cover (Octavius)
